Mrsciencematt Posted January 27, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 27, 2016 We are in port with 2 other ships and was considering renting a cabana for my wife and 3 kids 9,5, and 3 at the Royal Palm. Is this worth it, or is there something better? Is it "kid friendly?" -thanks!
cb at sea Posted January 28, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 28, 2016 All of the beaches in GC are "kid friendly"...you don't really need an "AI" there....
bookbabe Posted January 28, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 28, 2016 Royal Palms is my personal favourite of the beach clubs along Seven Mile Beach. However, the one downside I can see is that the pool is adults-only. You might have a tough time explaining to the kids why they can't go in the pool, although with the ocean right there they might not be interested in the pool anyway. A lot of families seem to end up at Public Beach/Calico Jacks, where there is playground equipment as well as the usual beach activities.

Cruise_Anne Posted February 9, 2016 #5 Share Posted February 9, 2016 Just did that a couple weeks ago with my daughter. Now while she is 21, we were next to a family that had a few younger kids. It's a great location with short access to the beach. They do have a pool there that is not available to kids (over 18 only) but the beach is worth it! Food is fantastic too!
