Late-night R-rated Dive In Movies

On our Magic sailing a few weeks ago, they showed Mad Max at midnight and the Lido was packed. We also had a medical evacuation to a small rescue boat about an hour into the movie, so people alternated between the movie and the rescue antics. The captain had to bring the ship to a complete stop, and pivot until the boat could approach the sheltered side. As the boat pulled away, the evacuee waved to the cheering crowd.

The movie was better than I thought it would be. They also have large towels available as blankets, or maybe people brought them from their cabins.

The next night's movie was cancelled, as was the passenger talent show, due to exceptionally high winds and ship motion.

depending on the movie, yes I'd watch. however, what food options would be available?

This! DH and I enjoyed Dive-In Movies on our recent Glory cruise. I'm not much of a movie person at home, but watching a movie under the stars in a warm Caribbean breeze is a wonderful way to cap off the day. We'd definitely watch a midnight Dive-In Movie on the night before a sea day.

I love the idea. Actually...I sail with 3 kids, and there are several nights that Camp Carnival hosts some "night owl" parties that my kids LOVE to go to. They last until 2 a.m. Obviously...my kids aren't normally up that late, but this is vacation, so what the heck. Sometimes it's hard for me to stay up late enough to go pick them up when the party's over...this would give me a great non-casino non-bar option to stay awake! I love the Dive-In movies anyway, so I'd definitely do this if it was something I had any interest in watching.
