Canadian using U.S. OBC?

Am hoping to use my $300 US OBC to book excursions once we board the ship. I just noticed on the excursion pamphlet a note saying that excursions must be booked in the same currency as your cruise booking. We booked in Can. dollars. Does this mean I can't use my US credits for excursions? I'm a little confused.

I think it's referring to booking excursions online beforehand. Once you're on the ship everything is in US
