Amtrak and Port of Tampa

Considering taking the train to Tampa. Brilliance of the Seas 4pm departure. Train schedule says arrival at 12:39pm. Is that enough time to get to the port. And more importantly... how often does the train run late? Makes me nervous.

How far is the station from the port?

 

Try to arrive the day before.

You have alot more faith in Amtrak's on time schedule then I would. ;)

I wouldn't hesitate to take that train. The day before.

 

Amtrak can either come in on time or eight hours late. It's that erratic.

 

The southern routes are a lot more reliable than the northern routes because they don't have to deal with weather but other things can hold them up.

 

I love the train, it's wonderful and relaxing. I wouldn't think twice about taking it but come in the day before your cruise.
