Sunshine Suites-difference?

Can someone tell me the difference between the different kinds of suites? Are there certain decks that have larger rooms/balconies? I've only sailed Carnival twice, in a balcony, and never on Sunshine.

Thanks in advance for your help!

The ocean suites on Deck 7 of the Sunshine are slightly smaller than equivalent suites on other Carnival ships because of the renovations. The amenities and storage are the same, however. The Sunshine also has two unique aft suites on Deck 5. These are new cabins since the retrofit, and are quite large. When I was in 5341 last May, I enjoyed the separate bedroom and two televisions. As with any cruise, if you check the deck plans and choose your cabin carefully, you will be fine. Enjoy the Sunshine!!

We had 5340, one of the new cabins added and it was amazing! It had a huge L shaped couch that made into a bed in the main room, a second bedroom that the balcony was off of, and a huge bathroom. Also a large balcony. The only "negative" was you had to go through the bedroom to get to the balcony or bathroom, but didn't diminish the fact that this was an awesome room! There was a large window in the main room, so there was natural light coming in.

Thanks everyone! What category is 5340 and 5341?

They are Ocean Suites (OS) and priced the same as the others in the same category. They are the two aft corners of Deck 5. Very nice location, quiet and convenient to Ocean Plaza activities as well as Red Frog Pub and Alchemy Bar. They are mirror images of each other and have a living room with huge sofa and a coffee table, and a bedroom with two closets. The bathroom has a jetted tub. The balcony is deeper than usual with room for loungers, but can get hot in the sun.

We ended up booking a Grand Suite on the Sunshine. We booked with a free suite cruise offer from Taj Mahal. Unfortunately all the dates/cruises we were interested had no Ocean suite available (It seems that they block out X amount of suites for these outside casino offers ). So we upgraded to Grand and hope an Ocean suite opens up. I started another thread about Grand Suites and the Sunshine to see what info I can get. Thanks for all the help!
