MTElkwhistle Posted February 6, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 6, 2016 Where in San Juan, nearish the dock, can I buy good local produced roasted coffee beans to bring home for a friend? Thanks
truel1111 Posted February 6, 2016 #2 Share Posted February 6, 2016 There is a Super Max supermarket in Old San Juan. Ask locals for direction. Coffee is locked in glass case, you have to ask staff to get it for you. Walgreen also carry coffee bean but price is higher.

Stinger-pr Posted February 7, 2016 #5 Share Posted February 7, 2016 More than likely what you'll find at Supermax, Walgreens and CVS is ground coffe, not coffee beans. If you're actually looking for coffee beans to be ground later, try Cuatro Sombras (http://www.cuatrosombras.com). I haven't gone in a while but if there's a place to find coffee beans in San Juan near the docks it's there.
trekrider520 Posted February 7, 2016 #6 Share Posted February 7, 2016 I second Cuatro Sombras - probably one of the best coffees I have ever had. I go there every other week to replenish my supply.

He is our taxi to the airport and also looking after my horses when we are away so I thought some good coffee would be appreciated.:D
