Milkshakes in Blue Lagoon???

Hi all,

 

Anybody know if milkshakes are available in the Blue Lagoon on the Jade?

 

I really enjoyed the cheeseburgers and malt milkshakes in O'Sheehans on the Epic!!

I was on Jade last summer. They made milkshakes and smoothies in the Garden Café. Right in the middle of one of the buffet area's they have people making fresh smoothies; fresh squeezed oj, and in afternoon milkshakes. The Blue Lagoon may also make them. In the Atrium coffee bar; they make excellent smoothies

Have not sailed Getaway. So can not comment on milkshakes.

The Ice (Milk) Cream soft-serve machine is in the Great Outdoors buffet deck

11 aft - but I don't know about milkshakes (info dated).

Typically the Ice Milk is not the same thickness consistency as the Dairy Queen

product. It is this thickness that makes a difference in a watered down drink

that melts to ice and a milkshake. Dairy Queen is also Ice Milk but with an

ingredient added to thicken it and sustain its structure.

 

Ice Milk is not Ice Cream !

 

You can self make your own milkshakes by taking the real ice cream served

in the MDR and other restaurants and with a little milk and effort stirring it

around creating the shake - but Oh a machine does this so nicely. Adding syrups

and flavoring to awaken the taste buds.

You could take three or four scoops of the ice cream and add milk take it to

a bar with a blending machine and fix it just about right maybe adding a shot

of Baileys Kahlua for a most remarkable taste treat !

I know a lot about milk shakes - my dad had a drug store with the soda fountain

and the crew received training from Bridgemans and Kemps in

the preparation and serving of these delights. Being from Minnesota right

next door to the dairy state Wisconsin the folks in this part of the country

know our dairy stuff !

 

In the large photos note the blender on the counter to the right next to the

basket of fruits.
