While my DW and I can walk ,she especially, and me to a lesser extent, use canes when walking.

I have heard horror stories about customs lines in Galveston and wondered,if there are any way for those with disabled I'd s can get through more quickly.

Logically, rationally.... provisions are available for I'D disabled! :)

Parking, wheel chairs, motorized vehicles, priority lines and personal assistances are provided. See websites for Carnival, RCCL, Disney, and Port of Galveston. And CONTACT THEM. You have to ask to receive!

My DW needs a wheelchair for anything more than 100 yds on flat ground. We sailed out of Galveston in 2014 and will again in October. I suggest to get a porter as soon as you get in the terminal. They will handle any heavy lifting and get you through Customs faster.

Just request chair onboard ship before departure. They will take you to customs bag claim area where you can get porter to assist you with baggage thru Customs and outside.
