justafem Posted February 12, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 12, 2016 Hubby and I bought the future cruise credit on our first cruise last summer. We booked a 10 day Mexican (11 days!), with a premium view and were upsold to a window suite. Is the onboard credit based on our original booking, or should we receive the additional for the suite? It's only $50 difference, but hey, if we can get it, why not!
iceleven Posted February 12, 2016 #2 Share Posted February 12, 2016 Pretty sure your OBC remains at the level you purchased your ticket. We had a similar upsell as you and our OBC didn't change.
Colo Cruiser Posted February 12, 2016 #3 Share Posted February 12, 2016 (edited) You do not get any extra benefit to the upsell, its stays at the old cabin level. Edited February 12, 2016 by Colo Cruiser
f-mattox Posted February 12, 2016 #4 Share Posted February 12, 2016 Yes, you would have to pay the full retail price of the suite to get the suite credit.
jennybenny Posted February 12, 2016 #5 Share Posted February 12, 2016 Agree with what others have stated. Your credit depends on the category you paid for. It's awesome you got the upsell or upgrade, but you wouldn't get the OBC based on it. Either way I'm sure it's still amazing!!
