wabamun Posted February 12, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 12, 2016 We will be doing our first Azamara cruise on May 30th, Quest, Nice to Southampton. We have a shipboard credit. If we wait to book land discoveries until we board, what are our chances of finding something left? Thanks.
BillC Posted February 12, 2016 #2 Share Posted February 12, 2016 Hard to answer since it will depend on how full the ship is, as well as the popularity of the individual shore excursions. We usually book the ones we really want in advance, and take our chances on the balance. We have also been quite pleased with the "free" walking tours that are available in many cities. Check out Sandeman's walking tours, as well as other sites for the cities you'll be traveling to. Another source for local tours is the Viator website. Zouave Posted February 13, 2016 #3 Share Posted February 13, 2016 Am on your cruise. This link is the roll call for the cruise. Might help you. A bunch of shorexes have been put together. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2193620 Many of us have been a little surprised as to the limited number of excursions posted by Azamara (Honfluer has nothing - ever heard of D-Day Azamara?). I would book something for major cities soon if using OBC. FYI - Azamara has really improved it's wine list...an option? Zouave
wabamun Posted February 13, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted February 13, 2016 Checked today. There is an excursion to the American beaches out of Honfleur as well as a trip to Paris. They seem to be adding a few slowly. Wine is always an excellent option. Thanks.
tv24 Posted February 13, 2016 #5 Share Posted February 13, 2016 Sometimes the Land Discoveries staff are able to add coaches to accommodate demand on board. This happened in our favor in Seville this past fall, and it helped us use some OBC.
KirkNC Posted February 13, 2016 #6 Share Posted February 13, 2016 This is a common dilemma with AZ. I assume your credits are not refundable?
