Seattle transportation questions

Hi, we are looking at staying at the Embassy Suites Seattle airport the night before our cruise. Is this close to the Space needle?

 

How far is it from the airport to the cruise port? Is a taxi our best option (and about how much can we expect to spend?)

no, the hotel isn't close to the Space Needle or cruise port. It's in the town of Tukwila.

Which pier are you using? pier 66 is downtown, and pier 91 is about 5 miles north of downtown.

If you would rather leave on your own schedule instead of the shuttles, a flat rate taxi to pier 66 will be $29, to 91 $35.

If you want to visit the Space Needle the night before you cruise, take the hotel shuttle back to SeaTac but ask the driver to drop you at the Light Rail station. Take the Light Rail to the end of the line which is Westlake Center, 40 minutes $3. At Westlake look for signs to the Monorail. The monorail will take you to the Space Needle in less than 5 minutes.
