robebrady Posted October 10, 2005 #1 Share Posted October 10, 2005 I will be in Belize January of 2006. This is my first winter cruise, anyone visited at that time of year? If so, was it really warm or hot? I realize that the weather changes and there are no guarantees but I am just trying to plan a little in advance. Any insight would be appreciated.:)
BobbieSu Posted October 11, 2005 #2 Share Posted October 11, 2005 We visited last year (05) the first of February. Beautiful blue sky, 80's, low humidity (for the tropics), we were entirely comfortable with shorts, and t-shirts. We took the trip to Lamanai and the boat trip back was breezy and actually a little cool, I wouldn't have minded a jacket at that point, but otherwise very summer like. OCruisers Posted October 11, 2005 #3 Share Posted October 11, 2005 robebrady .... We've only been to Belize once years ago when there was nothing at the port BUT it was in January and it was actually HOT and sticky! Who knows exactly what the weather will be ... varies a bit BUT it will be warm to very warm. We will be in Belize on a cruise this January (06). Looking forward to going back! BobbieSu .... We took that river excursion (in January) as well (about all that was offered back then) and were sooooooooo HOT the entire time. Thanks for pointing out that it might be a bit cooler from time to time. We'll do a beach or cataraman thing this time so good to know! Happy Sailing!
