Thank you ncklhaus! Glad you are enjoying it!

I really impressed my son a bit ago. He was going to come over (they only live a mile from us) and help me learn how to upload a video to the web. They had just come home from dinner and did not stop by. He gets up very early every morning and they were tired and used to retiring early. Well, good ol' Mom learned by herself and uploaded 4 videos in 15 minutes! Ta Daaaaaa!

And then there is the side balcony. This was better to me than the front large balcony. We couldn't use the front balcony much. It was okay as long as you were seated in one of the lounge chairs and the sun was shinning. If we were underway and it was cloudy it was just too cool out there. I tried reading there and always ended up moving to the side balcony.

The sound of the 'waves' was just like being at the beach and hearing the surf. It was so relaxing. The wind was never a problem there.

Like I said the bathroom was great. One thing I noticed about the tub when I was in it was...

p><p><img src=[/img]

NOW do you see it??? :eek: I had to get up and close those blinds. Yes there are blinds, thank goodness. I just had to wonder though, do those cameras rotate? Do they just remain stationary looking down the side of the ship? Well, the blind went shut whenever necessary the rest of the week, you can be sure of that.

Here is a closer view of the hooks in the bathroom between the shower and toilet closet. They were strong and large enough to hold more than just a towel. The robes were plush and warm and there were slippers in packages for each of us also.

<a href=IMG_4052.jpg' alt='IMG_4052.jpg'>

My daughter in law slept on the fold out couch and my daughter and I in the king bed. Both the couch and bed were quite firm and took getting used to. Our wonderful steward got us foam for them and we appreciated that, but they were still firm.

The bathrooms each had a phone by the toilet.

p><p>How nice of NCL to think of us. While taking your morning constitution you don

Whenever we opened the side balcony door there was a whistling noise that would drive you crazy if you were in the cabin. We didn't have the hallway door open and just couldn't figure out why we were hearing that. Then I realized that the front balcony door had a huge gap underneath that had no weather strip at all.

p><p><img src=[/img]

Look how nice the railing is now!

Thank you so much for your wonderful review!! The pictures and videos are amazing! Thank you

One question...did you make it to the fitness center at all? We were on the Star three years ago and the fitness center was OK. In the "class"room, they had a ballet barre for stretching. Do they have one on the Jade either inside the classroom or out in the weight area?

Thanks and looking forward to the rest of your review. Thanks again :)

We leave three weeks from Saturday!!!

Loving your review! We are in 9504 for the pre-Easter cruise - beyond excited. Quick question: How did you attach the curtain for the toilet room to give more privacy? I had thought about doing that, too, after seeing videos of the bathroom. With 2 teens that like their privacy (who doesn't when it comes to the toilet? ;)), I wanted to try and rig something.

Call me juvenile, but I saw the folded sign and thought "Vet Varnish"? Dracula must have been painting your balcony! :rolleyes: I'm such a dork.

This is a fun review, and you are wonderful for surprising the ma'amettes! Looking forward to the rest!

Thank you bluehawk47! I am so glad when I hear that folks out there are enjoying my review. That makes it all worth it! The fitness center will be coming up soon. :D

getawayforfun, you will LOVE that suite!!! The curtains - I got those for another cruise (that review will be upcoming; after this one will be the Four Ma'ams cruise, MAJOR TEASER LOL ) lol They were on the smallest tension rod I could find, it even fit in my suitcase. The one for the toilet I just draped over the door and let it balance itself. The fabric was on the inside of the door. For the shower, I draped the rod part on the inside of the door and the fabric hung on the outside of the door. The rod was too long to actually use it as a tension rod so I improvised and it worked well all week.

3Fluffies, you are so funny. One of the painters must have been German huh? Here is another sign from the front balcony.

<a href=IMG_3716.jpg' alt='IMG_3716.jpg'>

There, is that better? Those signs stayed the rest of the week!

Bluesmania - Not adopting! We are empty nesters and like it that way! I do love having both kids living close though. They both live within a mile of us. I figure I am in my peak earning years and I may not always be able to do things for them, so now is the time. I LOVE doing it too.

So tonight I am organizing more pictures for a day full of posting tomorrow. I just finished a week of call and I am off. Three day weekend! :D

One last post on the suite. I spent so much time on the side balcony. It was a great place to get away. Morning coffee, afternoon drink, after a late dinner, you name it.

p><p><img src=[/img]

The Ma'amettes spent time there napping or on their phones too. They had downloaded books on their phones and like to read like I do.

Okay, maybe more than one.

In the past I have taken the European converter/adapter on a cruise so we have enough plugs. It seems that there are never enough. I bought two of them to go to Europe August 2014 (land trip). Let me tell you, it was not a problem in this suite. The side of the bed nearest the front balcony is the only place we used one. My daughter plugged in her phone there every night and the European outlet was the only one available there.

p><p><img src=[/img]

There were a couple near the TV in the living room.

p><p><img src=[/img]

There was one in the bathroom by the sinks and one at the dressing table in the "closet".

We also had a Bose surround system that worked with the DVD player, which was loaded with music too. That was awesome!

<a href=IMG_3620.jpg' alt='IMG_3620.jpg'>

I noticed something.....several times all week a floor lamp between the espresso bar and the sliding glass door was unplugged. I liked that light on at night when we got back to the room. I plugged it back in several times and it would be unplugged the next day sometime. I finally figured that when our awesome steward came in he was using that outlet to vacuum the floor! Good for Dennis!

Zounds - Steve! Yes I remember you :p What a GREAT cruise that was for the Ma'ams. In fact, that was probably my favorite cruise ever. We made such memories and hope to repeat a sister cruise again in the future.

dlynn0366 - Thank you! You know then what a fabulous cabin that one is. Enjoy!

Aprille - So glad you will be checking in! Think about upgrading to the unlimited internet package. The internet was fast to me, compared to the first time I had it on the Spirit in '09! That was snail sloooooooow. The only downside is that only one device can be on at once. We just took turns!

Well, now I have an hour to post before I have to do some nursing charting audits, then take them into work to be signed by the nurses and get them scanned online..........so a few MORE POSTS!

So after we had the big reveal of the suite -

Our luggage was already in the cabin. I had not checked in online in time to get the luggage tags sent to me so I made my own. I had to print them off and got ingenious. I had some extra tags left over from our last cruise. (September, Dawn, Canada and New England with two Ma'ams and DHs). I cut out my name, the word "Priority" and taped them to our printed off tags. I wanted to make sure that we got those bags quickly! Well it worked!

p><p>Quite clever, don

Dennis, our room steward, greeted us. He was wonderful all week long, I might add.

Charlie, our Butler, also came in to greet us and answer any questions we had. I told him that I was familiar with the espresso machine when he tried to show me how to work it. Then he showed me a paper on the dining table.......now back story here......we had the UBP for the first two cruisers in the cabin. I assigned those to the girls because I always bring my wine (which they don't carry on NCL - Rodney Strong Merlot and Cab) on board and pay the corkage fee. I had done that this cruise easily as we drove to the port. I figured that I would just pay for any other drinks I wanted along the way. This paper on the dining table was a list of liquor. You see, the Owner's Suite and above come with THREE bottles of alcohol! :eek: I just figured that I had upgraded to this suite from the Penthouse late and would not get that. WRONG, I get it!!!!!!! Wow. I love Tanqueray Gin Martinis Dirty with extra olives. So I asked if I could get Tanqueray and just pay the difference (I think Beefeaters was on the list). He said no problem. I also picked dry vermouth and Kahlua. The girls said they could have that in their coffee. Ladies and Gentlemen, when these arrived the next day, I was happy to find that they were large liter bottles! I hardly put a dent in them for the week. Now I am enjoying them at home - they will last me six months!

Now I always get the Spa Pass on a cruise. It is my relax time each day. I had paid for this ahead of time (and saved $20 each that way) so I wanted the Ma'amettes to see where we would be relaxing hours away this week. Neither of them had ever gotten this, although they had done Spa Treatments. So off the the Spa we went.

p><p><img src=[/img]

We got our stickers on our cruise cards and did a self tour.

In the female dressing area you have toilets, sinks, showers, and a dressing counter with hair dryer, shower caps, etc.

This is where you first get in and pick up your towel and robe. You also dispose of them in the hampers as you leave. No taking robes out of the Spa!

p><p><img src=[/img]

Toilets, sinks and dressing counter.

p><p><img src=[/img]

There are more showers around the corner.
