Beach by cruise ship pier?

Hello! My husband and I are going to Cozumel in June. I was wondering if there are any beaches by the pier. I don't want to take a taxi into town. He wants to drink but I wanna go to the beach. Do y'all have any suggestions? Thanks!

We would need to know which of the three piers you are stopping at to help.

 

There are places to sit out on loungers in sandy areas but no long soft sandy beaches near any of the piers.

Near international pier you will have El Cid and Park Royal hotels within 5 minute walk where you can get various day passes. Walking further towards town there are various bars where you can PAYG.

 

If you put the names into the search engine on here you will find various threads. If you want AI I would recommend Park Royal at $40pp (adults)11- 6pm. The AI at El Cid are more expensive for less facilities in my opinion. - I would choose El Cid if your port hours are not long enough to warrant Park Royal but would get their cheaper pass which only includes credit back towards food and drink. Puerta Maya is about 5 minutes walk south of International Pier so the above response also applies.

 

I believe there is also a small sandy area and bar within the port facility but I have never stopped at that pier so some one else will need to comment on that. Again no long sandy beaches near any of the piers because of the ironstone.
