You can still do that. Just order your shot first, wait 5 min, then order your Miami vice. We did that with shots and beer chasers one night. Everything is time stamped, so the bartender cannot put in the two drinks at one time. It stinks but it is what it is.

 

or if there are two of you in the cabin, time your drinks so you don't finish at the same time. I can order the shot, my husband can order the drink and mix them together for him. 5 minutes later we can do it again for me

My friend ordered a Red Bull and Grey Goose and it was $25

 

Except the ships don't carry Red Bull...

 

Wish they did though, much prefer it to Rock Star.
