Anchorage/Wildlife Conservation center

Our cruise tour stayed at the Anchorage Marriott for a night and left hotel around 11:00am. The bus ride was less than an hour and a half. Our group spent probably around 1.5 hours at the center and that was plenty of time to see all of the animals, shop in gift shop and buy a snack. We were there in June and the mosquitos ate us alive. So take insect repellent.

We went on a bus and took about one hour. No mosquitos for us in September. Going there again this year June and renting a car as there are so many cool things to see near Girdwood. LOVE Wildlife Conservation Center, as well as the nearby Portage Glacier. Have an awesome time!

Hello from San Diego:)

It's a little over an hour to drive.

I'd say a minimum of 1 hr .... kinda depends on the weather and the activity level of the animals. If the brown bears are feeling playful you can easily watch their antics for an hour, but if they're asleep, you have a look and move on. Or if there are lots of babies and it's bottle feeding time, there's another hour !
