Rare rakkor Posted March 1, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 1, 2016 (edited) I've just had a look at the Voyage Personaliser for the Greek Islands cruise in October, on the Queen Elizabeth, and only four of the nights are assigned as Formal, - Cunard Ball, Roaring Twenties, Masquerade Ball and finally Starlight Ball. Is this likely to change ? My missus loves a good dress-up and won't be too happy if she only gets four goes at it over the seventeen nights we're away :) Edited March 1, 2016 by rakkor Spelling mistakes
BigMac1953 Posted March 1, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 1, 2016 Although not necessarily guaranteed, the basic rule is 3 x Formals a week on a TA, and 2 per week on a cruise. On a 17 nighter, I would have probably expected 5 in total. It does tend to change when you are on board, so watch the daily programme. I tend to wear a suit with Tie on the non formal nights and my better half always wears smart dresses etc on non formal nights. As a couple who seldom have suitable occasions to dress up for most of our normal day to day lives we love to take the opportunity while on board the Cunard Queens. You will find the vast majority of your fellow cruisers will also make the effort on both formal and non formal evenings.
balf Posted March 1, 2016 #4 Share Posted March 1, 2016 Things can change greatly once the cruise starts and I think pressure from passengers often brings changes. The number of port days is a factor as well. David
