Marseille to Paris

Did the cruise line book your flight? It sounds a little tight, on the basis of usual cruise disembarkation experiences, and I'm wondering how you managed to be booked on that flight.

Are you only going to Paris, or are you connecting at CDG to fly somewhere else?

Air France do have something like 25 flights a day in total to CDG and Orly so if you're only going to Paris you'll probably get put onto another flight - although this will inevitably be at the airline's discretion if your fare rules don't allow changes. It's as easy to get into town from one airport as from the other so it really makes no difference which airport you fly into.

If you're going to CDG to connect, then it may be something like a 3-hour wait for the next flight. But the fast train takes about 3 hours anyway, and goes to the centre of Paris - and you'd still have to get back into central Marseilles to get the train and wait for the next one (there's sometimes one hour, sometimes two hours, between trains).

If you were only going to central Paris anyway, I would have chosen the train over the flight in any event as it's just as fast door-to-door, and rather less stressful - but if you've already booked and paid for a flight then it's probably too late to be proffering that advice.
