Tai Chi Star Princess?

You might consider a video tape if you have time. Like with dancing, you can learn the basic moves quickly but it takes some amount of time to get to a basic competence. You're probably not going to get this in a class for 2 or 3 hours which has to teach to the (s)lowest common denominator.

Try a tape and/or book and you can learn about the background and philosophy, and then impress people on the ship by doing Tai Chi on deck in the mornings. :D
