Apple Watch question

You don't even need to have your phone with you to count steps. One odd discovery from my recent cruise. - I have he Milanese mesh watch band with the magnetic strap. I had to replace my sea pass card three times before i realized my watch was demagnetizing the card [emoji57]

It can help to "calibrate" the watch before you sail. This involves going for an outdoor walk or run of at least 20 minutes in an area with good cellular and GPS coverage, and your phone either in hand or in an armband.

As stated the watch will count steps without your I phone or any wifi connection.

 

I found that in order for my watch to adjust to time changes I must put my IPhone on manual time zone and adjust my iPhone manually. I believe this is because the ship's time was not always the official time. I also believe the watch needs your iPhone to adjust to time changes.
