Phil Lafayette is more than just a tour guide

We had been to Jamaica twice before and did not like it. Thought about staying on ship, but read CC posts about Phil Lafayette and booked tour with him. What a great day. Went to Falls, went river tubing, stopped at local Ocho Rios Jerk Stand and had great jerk chicken, ribs, pork, festival bread and Red Stripe beer. Drove through Fern Gully area and stopped at Shaw Gardens. Then stopped at Margaritaville to shop for awhile and then took us back to ship. Best tour possible. Falls are $15, tubing is $20 and Phil charges $20 for his part. Lunch for 2 was $19. I will be eternally grateful to Phil for the great care he took with my husband. He has a brace on one leg and cannot walk far or fast. He and Phil sat on platform overlooking falls watching people climb. While we were tubing he rode with Phil. At Margaritaville stop, Phil wouldn’t leave us there because he thought it was too far for husband to walk back so he waited for us to buy coffee and t-shirts and then drove us back to ship. He is a great tour guide and now a friend.
