soda and bottled water as "luggage" on ecstasy from Charleston?

I had read people tape the luggage tags to a box of soda or pack of bottled water and leave with checked bags, but I read in the carnival paperwork from my booking and it specifically states that soda and bottled water must be "carried on".

who has experience on ecstasy from Charleston with leaving soda and water with checked luggage?

oh good! how do I "order in advance"?

Online, on Carnival site, from Fun Shops. It will be treated as a gift purchase, so it won't show up on your orders in your cruise documents. Just print out the order confirmation email and take it on your cruise with you in case the water isn't delivered.

This is probably a silly question, but does bringing a 12 pack of soda on board count against your bottle of wine? I.e. can you bring 12 cans of soda and a single bottle of wine in your carry one?

No, wine is separate. We always take a 12 pack of canned sodas per person and a bottle of wine per person.

Jut as a heads up - sometimes you will get waived right on through, no questions asked and barely even look at your soda and wine and other times they may pull you aside and inspect the wine bottle carefully as well as your 12 pack. You never know, so just go with the flow and enjoy your cruise!

should the 12 pack be in the original box? or (since I have to carry it on) can it be individual cans in my carryon bag?
