key west sandals

Ok this is sort of an odd question, but you guys always know the answers so I'm giving it a shot!

 

Has anyone been to the key west sandal factory? Or does anyone have an additional information, other than what is on their website? I'm writing a paper for one of my courses and I decided to pick key west sandals, since cruising would be too broad ;)

What kind of course is it?

What level (grade school, high school, college, master)?

What do you want to know - layout/floorplan, location, pricing of

shoes, advertising methods, discounts, accounting method?

Their history?

Bios on the owners/operators?

Anthropological info?

Impact on local economics?

 

And when do you need the info by?

 

Give us some clue as to what the premise of your paper is, and maybe someone here can provide you with the info you need.

Been there lots of times.... used to live in Vero Beach and we would go down numerous times a year starting in 1987. I love KENO'S and still have a couple of pair even tho I have not been in a while :( . They last forever. Don't know if I can help with info for a paper tho :confused: .

I'm taking a writing class at Simmons College in Boston. I'm just looking for any information other than what I have found on the website. The piece would be written as a feature story. Any information anyone has would be awesome :) My paper is due next Tuesday, but I plan on going to visit next May anyways.

 

I did try posting on the Key West page, but it seems that no one really responds there.

There is a 2 page thread on the Key West Ports Board on Kino Sandals. I was there in Sept and bought a couple pair. They are very comfortable and only $9 a pair! :)

 

If you talked with the women at the counter they might arrange for you talk with the women in the rear of the shop who are actually making the sandals. Good Luck

kino sandals and keywestsandals are 2 different things

 

although the port pages aren't visited often people do respond to posts

- I didn't answer there because I had already answered here :-)

you might also email a view of the key west residents that respond to posts on that page (read a few of the different posts and you'll see who lives there)

i haven't been a cruise yet. going on my first cruise in december. went to visit my parents last december in florida and my hubby took me to key west. we spent 2 hours walking around near the ports looking for the keno sandal outlet. these sandals are awesome. i have wide feet so i had to buy a mans pair but they are not manly looking at all.
