WendyVF Posted March 16, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 16, 2016 We are looking to sail from Baltimore on December 26th. We will drive up late on Christmas Day. I've started looking at hotels and need some help. We typically stay at the Inner Harbor/Downtown area but I'm concerned nothing will be open Christmas night for us to grab something to eat. Any suggestions for hotels in other areas? I'm thinking near Arundel or BWI and something with its own restaurant. I recall there being a hotel attached to a casino. Does anyone know which one it would be? I'm not necessarily looking for park and cruise. Typically it's worth the money to park at the port and not have to deal with shuttles. steve20832 Posted March 16, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 16, 2016 Maryland Live Casino in Hanover, MD is the casino you are thinking of. Cruise Critic doesn't allow links here so you will have to Google it. BWI is about a 20 minute drive to the pier. There are about 20 hotels near the airport and about 10 hotels within 2 miles of the casino
Tony O Posted March 16, 2016 #3 Share Posted March 16, 2016 Also look in the Harbor East area of the Inner Harbor..Several hotels and plenty of restaurants nearby.

brookie848 Posted March 18, 2016 #5 Share Posted March 18, 2016 There's no hotel attached to Maryland Live, but there are plenty in the area. Will you have kids with you? If so, that means the buffet in Maryland Live will not be an option, since it is deep inside the casino. There is a Cheesecake Factory and a Bobby's Burger Palace right inside the casino that can be accessed by kids. There is also a Prime Rib if you are willing to splurge for an expensive meal. You might want to contact the casino to see what will be open on Christmas. There are a lot of restaurants in the area. I'm assuming most Asian places will remain open. There is a Denny's attached to the Holiday Inn Express Hanover that will probably be open as well.
