liberty64 Posted March 27, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 27, 2016 Just wondering if there is a typical schedule pattern to boarding times on Balmoral. Who do they let on first/last?
Broch Posted March 28, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 28, 2016 (edited) Boarding is allocated in deck order with higher decks boarding first followed by deck order down. You will get a boarding time with your check in documents around 4 weeks before travel. Boarding usually starts around 1 pm Edited March 28, 2016 by Broch
tring Posted March 28, 2016 #3 Share Posted March 28, 2016 (edited) True deck order is one method of priority for boarding, but there are others. Last year the priority groups were (in order):- All suite passengers. Gold Oceans club members who have booked Freedom fare. Passengers with an Anchor booking have last priority. (I am not sure if Suite passengers on an Anchor Fare still have first priority, but Oceans Gold members who have booked an Anchor Fare do not have a priority now). You will be given a suggested arrival time at the port (I think that is just by deck order, but I am not sure), when you get your final documentation. You can arrive earlier, but you could have a long wait if you arrive much earlier. Fred do not provide lunch on embarkation day - just a good afternoon tea. Parsman Posted March 29, 2016 #4 Share Posted March 29, 2016 Disabled passengers are usually boarded first. Also Oceans Gold members can board when they wish.
