Ketchikan to-do tips for Princess departing @ 2p?

Our Princess trip is in Ketchikan on 5/30 from 6:30 only until 2p; Any tips or share on what to fit in? It my wife and I plus son/daughter +1 (21-24 YO's). We like adventure & they are interested in kayaking somewhere on the trip so was looking at trips here. The local short trip seems easy but also seems to be around the port / tourist area. The Orca kayaking trip sounds good but gets back at noon. I'm not a fan of ship excursions. Tips suggestions? If we kayak for the morning, what could / should we do from noon to boarding. (Not sure what time we have to be back on for 2p departure. Lumberjack show at 12:15? Totems? Just walk & have lunch?

You need to be back on the ship no later than 1:30 for your departure time. I would be onboard by 1:00 just to be safe. Not enough time for the lumberjack show but you could take a walk on Creek Street.
