Carnival Fantasy-Room by Elevator?

Recommended Posts

If you have stayed in one of the cabins on CCL Fantasy that backs up to elevators, could you hear the elevators as they were in operation?

If so, was it really bad, or just that you were aware of it? Of course, you would think these would be bad/noisy. But, I have a really hard time walking far ($^%$% Arthritis--hate it!) and am seeing some of these available. It would help with not having to walk as far. But don't want to deal with crazy noise.

I learned my lesson about just how looooong those ship hallways are from my last cruise. We wanted to try, just once, one of those Interior but at the very front of the ship with a window looking onto the secret deck. Never again. Seemed like I had to walk 5 miles to get to an elevator! I'm avoiding using a wheelchair or scooter just as long as I can. But will stay with the middle from now on!

Thanks for any info on elevator rooms.

Friends love the sideways interiors. Only caution would be about the Casino smoke coming down the center elevator and stairs. Some Fantasy class have the smoking area on the elevator side of the casino bar.

We had a major problem with a porthole cabin on the Fantasy (or was it the Fascination?)in that the noise from some D@#n something or other was so loud it sounded like the inside of a washing machine - I think as I've never been in one -so they move us for an afternoon/evening to one of these cabin. Very little noise but we were in the cabin a total of maybe 2 hours??

The Cabin layout on all Fantasy class ships are the same (maybe a minor change).
