Houston to Galveston w/ 8 people

Sailing Carnival in October, 8 of us total flying into HOU the day before (friday). We've never sailed out of Galveston, always Florida, so I'm looking for the most cost effective way to get 8 people from point A to point B and back again. We will be flying back out the saturday morning we return to port. I've considered renting a van for the week, all help is greatly appreciated.

We've used two different private car services for groups of 9 people, and they both were $300 round trip. Super Shuttle (private service option) and Executive Transportation.

 

I would also check out Galveston Express, as that was not an option at the time of our trips.

I'm not seeing an option for more than 7 people on the non-stop van option for Super Shuttle. Did you have to do the shared ride when you used them?

No, we used the private service. Could be the service has changed since we used it back in 2014.
