Christmas morning in Nassau: What's open for cruiseship passengers?

We will be in port in Nassau on Christmas morning. What will be open for cruiseship passengers? Will taxis, water taxis to Atlantis be operating?

Should we just stick to the Princess excursions?

We've almost got the same dilema.

we're arriving day after - Boxing Day

but will be there in the afternoon/evening 2:30-7PM call.

Wonder what options we have sine most excursions offered independ. end after 3PM and start in the AM>

Most, but not all excursions will be operating, some on limited schedules, so I'd book with the ship if I were you, or check with Majestic Tours, they are on the scene and will know whos' working and who's not.

As for downtown, some areas will be somewhat inaccessible. Junkanoo starts midnite on Christmas nite and goes to the wee hours in the morning (boxing day). Stadium seating /bleachers are set up around town and some in front of stores etc, making it difficult to do business. Some shops close completely.

The side streets and wharf area is still open, and the ferries will be running.
