Cherie1 Posted April 7, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 7, 2016 We have 2 vehicles going on a 9 day cruise so it will be expensive to park at Port, which we have always done. Are there any recommended safe, cheaper alternatives close to the cruise port there. This may have addressed before but I am new to Cruise Critic. Thanks! You may also want to ask this on the Florida Depatures forum here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=495 There will likely be more folks with direct experience with Port Canaveral looking at that forum. Bonnie J. Posted April 7, 2016 #4 Share Posted April 7, 2016 We drive from NC and always stay at what is now America's Best Value Inn in Cocoa- not Cocoa Beach. It used to be an Econo Lodge before it was sold. We also stay here going to Miami or Fort Lauderdale as its easy from 95.Twice we have met the same couple from the Tampa area. They drive the day of the cruise. It costs them $30 to park in the hotel lot for their cruise and $5 for the shuttle to and from the port. The 1st shuttle is at 10AM and sometimes if there are a lot of cruisers there are two shuttles at the same time, Don't know time of 2nd shuttles as we always take the 1st. They do not have to pay for a room, they just pay to park. Neil is the manager and they can be reached at 321-632-4561. They have an 800 number but it is better to speak directly with them.
