crowleychick Posted October 16, 2005 #1 Share Posted October 16, 2005 First cruise in Feb 06 on Grand. I've always heard rumblings about safety and security on the ships - I'm hearing that it could be unsafe for a woman to be alone. Problems with assaults and worse. Is this true? I love my hubby but don't want to be tethered to him all the time lol! Can't wait. Thanks for the great site - have learned sooooo much. Cruisin' Chick Posted October 16, 2005 #2 Share Posted October 16, 2005 Very rare. I haven't heard anyone first hand who has had a problem. Maybe more of a problem off the ship in a port.
Kaye from Chicagoland Posted October 16, 2005 #3 Share Posted October 16, 2005 Do not worry - use normal precautions as you would in the states and you will be fine. I've traveled the world including 'hitchhiking throughout Europe and North Africa (my old - hippie- days)'. Enjoy your cruise. Use normal precautions - never let a drink be unattended. With good common sense, you will have a great cruise!!! Have fun! Kaye
San10s Posted October 16, 2005 #4 Share Posted October 16, 2005 When are you crusing on the Grand. We are on the Grand on February 18th!
sunprincess Posted October 16, 2005 #5 Share Posted October 16, 2005 Cheri, Do most of my cruising alone, and always feel very safe on the ship. Depending on your ports of call that is where I would be extra careful. Cruising only with princess since 1996 & never any problem. Hope you enjoy your cruise :)
