First cruise in Feb 06 on Grand. I've always heard rumblings about safety and security on the ships - I'm hearing that it could be unsafe for a woman to be alone. Problems with assaults and worse. Is this true? I love my hubby but don't want to be tethered to him all the time lol!

Can't wait. Thanks for the great site - have learned sooooo much.

Do not worry - use normal precautions as you would in the states and you will be fine. I've traveled the world including 'hitchhiking throughout Europe and North Africa (my old - hippie- days)'. Enjoy your cruise. Use normal precautions - never let a drink be unattended. With good common sense, you will have a great cruise!!!

Have fun!

Cheri,

Do most of my cruising alone, and always feel very safe on the ship.

Depending on your ports of call that is where I would be extra careful.

Cruising only with princess since 1996 & never any problem.

Hope you enjoy your cruise :)
