Wine package question

I was literally about the phone and book a wine package when I read this bit on the P&O website :Various wine packages are available. Wine packages can be consumed either in the restaurant or in your cabin. Please note loyalty discount will not be applied when purchasing wine packages.

I was going to buy a wine package with extra bottles so we could have a bottle in a lounge after dinner... Has anyone else had a bottle with dinner and then took one away from the restaurant to drink in a lounge?

Or better still, can we exchange the vouchers for a bottle in say the Glasshouse or at a bar in one of the lounges?

Thanks

It is definitely easier to take a bottle from dinner to a lounge as that's where the lounge would have to get it from generally. We have done this once with no issues just speak to your wine waiter. You should also be able to exchange a voucher at the glasshouse or speciality restaurant but if not given notice they will take some time to retrieve it from the MDR wine stores.. (not tried in the glasshouse they may have better wine stocks)
