gel pedicure

I always get gel on toes. Just came back from Costa Rica. Did a lot of snorkeling, zip lining and just outdoor walking barefoot. These toes look like they were just done. Perfect, shiny and no chips, even though I am a clutz. Since I only get them for vacation, I don't worry about any warnings. I think that would be for overuse.

I don't do my own nails...so that being said, I don't get gel pedicures. I don't find they're worth the expense since they don't seem to wear any better/longer than a regular pedicure. Just my experience though. I get a gel manicure every 2 weeks like clockwork - all year round. I get a reg pedicure w/reg polish every 4/5 weeks - all year round.

I love gel manicures though...they wear like iron for me. Bright and glossy on day 14 as they were on day 1. I'm not super careful either - I cook, clean, work in the yard, travel etc

I get a shellac pedicure (and manicure) before I travel especially if doing a lot of 'beaching' - I find regular nail polish easily chips off my toes on beaches due to snorkeling and rocks and sand, etc. They DEFINITELY last longer (I did mine for a cruise on feb 17 then had the opportunity to go on another cruise in march and had not yet had the shellac removed off my toes and it lasted thru another cruise ending March 25th) - still have to go get it off.

Not hard to remove - but my salon does that for me as part of the original cost of the service - but you can easily do this at home -same way you remove it from your fingernails.

During the summer I just get regular pedicures as I find those last a long time when I am not doing water/beach stuff!
