Moorea dock

The ship usually anchors at oponohu bay and tenders yo that Dock. However, occasionally if a larger ship is in town it anchors at Cooks Bay and tenders to that dock.

 

There are always taxis etc hanging out in either areas.

 

My only word of caution is to make arrangements for your pick up and drive to the dock with your taxi driver in advance.

I usually rent a car here. 15 years ago was my first experience here with a taxi. I just remember ending up paying 1/2 the original quote. A few years ago I didn't rent but wanted to go to the juice factory which is a 10-15 minute drive and all the drivers wanted $100. That's the cost of a rental car there for the day. I just walked away not even trying to negotiate I was so pissed off. They think anyone getting off the PG, or any ship for that matter is rich. Got my juice in Papeete anyway!
