Fish Sandwich Similar to Art Mels?

We are only in Bermuda for one day and we don't think we will have time to make it over to Art Mels, but was really looking forward to trying one of their fish sandwiches.

 

I know plenty of places may offer fish sandwiches, but are there any that would be like the ones at Art Mels if we only plan on going to Horseshoe Bay Beach and back to the dockyard?

 

I was really looking forward to that fried fish/raisin bread combo.

FYI, the Art Mel's in St. Georges closed according to all reports and the location near Hamilton is off the tourist track in a neighborhood that some consider questionable, so you were probably not going to have one of their sandwiches anyway...even if you had more time.

 

Some people like the fish sandwiches at the Swizzle Inn, which has a location on the South Shore....but that location is further from Dockyard than Horseshoe Bay.

We are okay with "questionable" locations. We live on the dangerous side. ;)

 

Thanks for the Swizzle Inn suggestion.....I'll check it out.

 

Any other suggestions?

I just read that the owner of Art Mel's has passed away, so I would imagine the future of the remaining location is in doubt.
