We get out the ship about 8:00am and our flights is about 7:00pm on a Friday.

We would like to find a hotel for the day in Miami. To take a nap, hangout by the pool get some lunch then go to the airport. So we want to check in about 9:00am or so and leave about 5:00pm. I having a hard time finding a hotel.

The airport has a hotel in it but its mostly geared to sleep for business people.

Let me know if you have been able to check in somewhere early for the day.

Thanks

Brenda:confused:

We did this a few weeks ago booking a room at the Sleep Inn, Miami airport. We caught a cab after we disembarked and they had a room ready by 10am, spring break - they were completely booked. It was raining so no pool but we napped, got showers and took their shuttle to the airport. I don't remember what food was close by, we grabbed lunch at the airport. It was less than $100, clean and served the purpose.

When do you cruise? Availability will vary with the tourist season - lots of empty rooms in July/August, not so much in Feb/March.

http://www.between9and5.com is one source for hotels with day rooms.

Some of the larger South Beach hotels may sell day passes for their pool/spa - tip them to store your bags.

Luggage Lounge is another option to store your bags in South Beach while you hit the beach, grab lunch, drinks, etc.

You can use the airport flyer bus to get from SB to MIA for about $3 each.
