yst347 Posted October 19, 2005 #2 Share Posted October 19, 2005 No, it can vary. You can check here for the next week's schedule. Maybe someone else has a better link but cruisecal.com doesn't say which pier. http://www.cozumelinsider.com/CruiseShips
nybumpkin Posted October 19, 2005 #3 Share Posted October 19, 2005 Miracle docked next to us at Puerta Maya in July when we were on Conquest - the sailings dealing with Hurricane Dennis!
cheshyrkat Posted October 19, 2005 #4 Share Posted October 19, 2005 When I was in Coz last (on Conquest) we were docked right next to Miracle...at Puerta Maya pier.

airhead22 Posted October 19, 2005 #7 Share Posted October 19, 2005 We were at the Punto Langosta pier Oct. 5. No big difference where you are docked that I can see.
MsBlue Posted October 19, 2005 #8 Share Posted October 19, 2005 We were at the Punto Langosta pier Oct. 5. No big difference where you are docked that I can see. Well, sometimes it makes a difference. If people want to go only into San Miguel (the town on Cozumel), Punta Langosta Pier is right there, and that's great. However, if docked at Puerta Maya Pier, they have to take a cab to go anywhere.
yst347 Posted October 19, 2005 #9 Share Posted October 19, 2005 I have reserved a jeep through avis for our day in Cozumel two weeks from today. I reserved it at Puerta Maya/International pier. I see the Elation is docking at Punta Langosta today. I will need to change my pick-up location or I will have to take a cab down to pick-up and a cab back after drop-off possibly. So to me it makes a big difference.

I dont know if we'll be in Coz on Thur or Fri -
FamilyMiracle Posted October 19, 2005 #11 Share Posted October 19, 2005 We were told by the crew that the pier alternates each week for the miracle. One week it is one pier, then the next week, it is the other pier. We were there with the Conquest in September on one pier, and 2 RC ships were at the other pier. airhead22 Posted October 21, 2005 #12 Share Posted October 21, 2005 Sorry, my bad. I was not even thinking of anything like that. At least if you do end up in the wrong place there are plenty of cabs!!!

shallwechat Posted March 21, 2006 #14 Share Posted March 21, 2006 ok, stupid question guys but which pier is the san miguel pier? we went to the punta ??? on the elation last month. i know there is a pier that drops you directly in town. there is a pier in the middle that was destroyed. which pier is which to be tendered to? Cotton Posted March 21, 2006 #15 Share Posted March 21, 2006 There are (were) three piers on Cozumel. Punta Lagosta Pier is the one right at San Miguel (the town). One is Puerta Maya Pier (which Carnival owns). The other is International Pier. It's my understanding that all three piers were destroyed, so you couldn't have 'docked', but were tendered in, right? My sister was there two weeks ago, and they had to tender in - near what WAS Punta Lagosta Pier.
jenn_saxon Posted March 22, 2006 #16 Share Posted March 22, 2006 Which pier was the original pier before the hurricanes came through? The one with the Fat Tuesdays and Carlos and Charlies?
Cotton Posted March 22, 2006 #17 Share Posted March 22, 2006 Fat Tuesday's is still there - at what was Puerta Maya Pier. Are there two Carlos 'n Charlies's on Coz? The only one I've seen was in San Miguel (Punta Lagosta Pier).
Cuizer2 Posted March 22, 2006 #18 Share Posted March 22, 2006 I don't understand all this talk about which pier is which. At the moment, there is no pier, so no one is docking anywhere.
shallwechat Posted March 22, 2006 #19 Share Posted March 22, 2006 maybe people should clarify themselves for those who don't understand....they mean, where the pier use to be. or maybe they should say, what area will they be tendered into. jenn_saxon Posted March 22, 2006 #20 Share Posted March 22, 2006 sorry for the confusion, which port are they tendering too? I thought Fat Tuesdays was right near Carlos and Charlies....i could be completely wrong. I've only been there once.
GoinCruisin Posted March 22, 2006 #21 Share Posted March 22, 2006 I think it has everything to do with this thread being old as the hills ;) Fat Tuesdays is where the Puerta Maya pier used to be... Carlos and Charlies is near the other pier, downtown... is that the International Pier?? I'm not sure, I've only ever docked at the PM pier... which is a fairly short cab ride from Carlos and Charlies and Senor Frogs.
Cotton Posted March 22, 2006 #22 Share Posted March 22, 2006 Fat Tuesdays is where the Puerta Maya pier used to be... That's exactly what I said. I swear, GC, I think some folks just aren't "reading" what we type. (Everything I said about the piers was in the 'past tense'.) I give up. Carlos and Charlies is near the other pier, downtown... is that the International Pier?? No, that was Punta Lagosta Pier. I also think you're correct about the OLD post. Folks aren't looking at the date of the original posts - OCTOBER, 2005.....so it's bound to be confusing. This one should just hit the dirt. Hello, hosts????:D
