sfojo10 Posted May 11, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 11, 2016 I'll be traveling with my husband and 12 month old on the Allure of the Seas in August. Our ports of calls include Nassau, St. Maarten, and St. Kitts. Any advice on what excursions to choose? Thank you!
rebeccalouiseagain Posted May 11, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 11, 2016 If you want a nice beach day in St. Maarten head over to Orient Beach. The surf is a bit rough (not smooth) but there are many things to see there- lots of kite surfing and activity. It was interesting to me and the little one can get wet and play in the sand. Lunch is served on the beach. Chairs and umbrellas are available for very little money ($5 pp I think we paid). USE tons of sunscreen. I got so burnt! On Nassau- go to the Atlantis for sure. They sell day passes to the resort on Royal Caribbean, but make sure to buy before you go because I think there is limit to the # of passes. It has everything there and they allow swim diapers in some of the pools and the waterpark area. There is a place to watch the dolphins frolic and an Aquarium and beach. It worth it IMO. I've never been to St. Kitt's so can't comment.
cb at sea Posted May 11, 2016 #3 Share Posted May 11, 2016 All of your ports are easy DIY things! Get a guidebook! It will tell you EVERYTHING there is in each port...and about transportation, food/drink, beaches, shopping and safety! A bit of research, and you can have a great time, for little money!
