1frugalmom Posted May 13, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 13, 2016  We sail out of Mobile, AL in December. I've searched the board for information on hotels options in Mobile, but the posts are from years ago when Carnival last sailed from that port. I've looked at countless hotel websites, but guess if they plan to offer any packages or plan to add shuttle service they haven't really posted anything yet. Does anyone have information on a good option (nothing really fancy, just reasonable and clean) for a hotel that has transportation both from the airport and also to the cruise terminal? Thanks! maldenmusic Posted May 27, 2016 #3 Share Posted May 27, 2016 It's been a few years ago but we stayed at the Micro-Tel in Saraland. They had a park and cruise and allowed you to leave your car in their parking lot and they ran a free shuttle to the pier. You just called them when you returned and they picked you up. We are cruising out of Mobile in 2017 and hope they still offer the same service.
arpie05 Posted June 30, 2016 #4 Share Posted June 30, 2016 We did this port before and loved it. We stayed at the Admiral Hotel which I just looked and it has changed and looks really nice. We liked it both times we stayed there. It was perfect because they had a Park & Cruise package. The parking is a garage so above sea level in case of flood/hurricane (One can dream that it will be ok). They also had shuttle/vans to take you to hotel and pick up. But it is close enough to walk which we did getting off the ship since we'd be stuck in the car for 10 hours driving home. http://www.theadmiralhotel.com/ We also arrived very late both times and no issues with getting a room. And room included a nice breakfast which was nice the last time since ship was delayed in arrival due to fog so we were delayed in boarding. It was nice to just have somewhere cool to wait to go to port. (you will see from my signature we sailed before they left the first and 2nd time. It is the shortest drive tho NOLA maybe shorter but I didn't like cruising down the MS river)
