heathercrops Posted May 19, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 19, 2016 Staying one night pre-cruise at Holiday Inn Port of Miami. Not planning on renting a car. Where is the best place to eat seafood for dinner and the best way to get there? Is there anything decent within walking distance? Also need info on the nearest liquor store. Thanks in advance. Trulucks is the closest but the most expensive. River Oyster Bar would be next closest. Both you could walk to if you are in decent shape. Garcia's and Casablanca are the next two on my list but both would require Uber or a cab. That area is Carolyn's stomping ground so hopefully she'll chime in. brunello22 Posted May 20, 2016 #3 Share Posted May 20, 2016 (edited) A 5-minute walk from your hotel for seafood is Ceviche 105, an amazing Peruvian restaurant. The ceviche is awesome and there are cooked dishes as well. Great Peruvian beer and cocktails too, Pisco Sour! Another local fave just a few minutes walk from the hotel is Niu Kitchen, a Catalan Spanish (not Cuban) place serving great tapas and wine. Some seafood dishes are offered too. Both of these restaurants are 1 to 1-1/2 blocks behind the hotel and reservations are required. There is a CVS and Walgreens a few blocks away for wine, although I'm not sure where to pick up hard liquor, if that's what you want.
