Is Snapchat included with the social media plan?

 

Has anyone used the social media plan? How did it work for you? I've been hearing reports that it's slow

 

I'll be on the Fantasy.

Currently, the Carnival site says "no" but there was a post recently of a scanned document from on board a ship that said yes.

 

So, maybe. lol, sorry - hoping someone will try it soon and let us all know.

We were on Fantasy's last cruise before her drydock in February and it had SnapChat.

I think they just removed it from the plan within the last 30 days.

It worked on freedom cruise in March 2015 but not 2016 or Liberty in 2016. When it did work though it was too slow to even work. In one week I think it sent and received 4-5 snapchats.....they probably removed it because it uses so much bandwidth sending and receiving pictures. We sent pictures via Instagram or Facebook messenger

My snap never worked on the Breeze in December but Twitter and FB worked fine for the most part. I'll be purchasing it again on the Splendor in November

Thee is a guy on the Vista right now posting to SnapChat & it is included and working well....

 

Maybe because the Vista has the latest and greatest in on-board internet technology and their speeds are fast enough to accommodate SnapChat.

When on the Breeze last June snapchat did not work for my DD (13) and my sister's friend. Everything else worked just great it was just snapchat that would not load or upload.

Snap would not work for us on the Liberty even though it was listed as one of the approved social media apps. Unless it has changed I would say no.

On Pride last month, Snapchat was not working the entire cruise.

On our Pride cruise this past August the teenagers said they had snapchat. I don't have one so I can't comment how good the service is. I used Facebook and it worked fine.

We will be on the Valor in July. How much does social package cost?

Just the basic that includes social media only is $5 per day.

I used it on the Splendor in January. Worked great.
