showingdiva Posted May 26, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 26, 2016 If Cunard have organised shuttle buses, they will be running from the quayside at Newhaven Harbour to Waterloo Place, which is at the east end of Princes Street (and close to Waverley Station). There is also the option to use the local bus services - Nos. 10, 11 and 16, which also run from adjacent to the harbour - the cost being £1.60 for a single journey or £4.00 for a day ticket. Please note that exact fare in UK sterling is required for these buses. The £4.00 day ticket includes unlimited travel on the Lothian Bus network and the Edinburgh tram network as far as the Gyle Shopping Centre. The Majestic Tour hop on-hop off bus also stops on the far side of the harbour. Taxis can also be arranged. Journey time into the city centre from Newhaven Harbour is around 20 - 30 minutes depending on the traffic / time of day. Our volunteers will be on the quayside to assist any passengers or crew with local transport and information and we look forward to welcoming all the passengers and crew from Queen Elizabeth on the 25th June. goodsailors Posted June 2, 2016 #4 Share Posted June 2, 2016 My understanding is that Cunard will not be providing a shuttle bus and passengers who have not chosen a Cunard excursion to Edinburgh will have to find their own way into the city. electra2008 Posted June 4, 2016 #5 Share Posted June 4, 2016 (edited) My understanding of Cunards shuttle policy is If it is "safety wise" safe a shuttle is not provided. i.e. In a working dock would not be safe Endinburgh you just get off into the village and then you are on your own. In the personiser you can download a pdf of all the ports , very usefull Edited June 4, 2016 by electra2008
