Annie43 Posted May 25, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 25, 2016 I really am not an alarmist, but so much is unknown about the Zika virus? Are there many mosquitos at the Blue Hole?

Charles4515 Posted May 26, 2016 #3 Share Posted May 26, 2016 (edited) I really am not an alarmist, but so much is unknown about the Zika virus? Are there many mosquitos at the Blue Hole? Bermuda is currently Zika free. Also the mosquito that transmits Zika does not exist in Bermuda at this time. That is known. As far as mosquitos in general in Bermuda there is a pretty good mosquito control program in Bermuda. I have not been bothered by them at all in Bermuda. I suppose if there is any place where there might be mosquitos it would be Blue Hole although I don't recall them there it has been about twelve years that I was there so my memory could be faulty. If you are worried about Blue Hole don't go there. It is not a must do or need to do. Edited May 26, 2016 by Charles4515

I just ordered the skin and the clothing formulas for our trek to the Blue Hole. Also...we live in Houston and this is going to be a horrible summer for mosquitoes. The drug store stuff doesn't seem to be fending them off at all right now.
