when charged for prebooked items?

Hi--this is a stupid question from a new to MSC person--please bear with me and thank you:

 

If we prebook things like laundry or spa services, are we charged when we go online to book them or does the charge come on our onboard account when we actually sail?

 

I have been on lines who do it both ways and just want to know what to plan for before I get too far online.

One follow up quesiton: with the spa packages--once you book the package do you reserve times for the different massages online, or do you do that once onboard?

you have to reserve the time slots on board

If you call in and pay for packages the charge goes through and it will show on your cruise info. If you do it online it will register but only charges after the cruise.
