Hi,

We will be in Palermo from 9am-6pm and Napoli from 07:30- 14:00 and would like to see vulcanos:

Is it possible in this short period to visit Etna from Palermo/ Vesuvio from Napoli?

Would you advise local agency/ public transportation or ship excursion?

Thanks

By visiting the volcanoes I assume you mean going up the mountain, not just to look at them from a distance.

It would be almost a 4 hour drive from Palermo to the Etna park. But you can see Etna from miles away. If your cruise ship navigates along the North or Eastern shores of Sicily, you will see it from the sea.

Vesuvius is just near Naples and easily visited. It is only a 30 minutes drive to get there. You can see it from your ship.
