Norwegian Escape The Haven Retractable Roof

Does anyone know if they open the retractable roof over the Haven? If so, when, and how often on a typical cruise? We know they have their own sun deck, but thought it would be nice if they opened it up for those who wanted to hang around their pool area with the loungers.

It's open pretty often if the weather is nice. But you won't get much sun down there even with it open, other then high noon its going to be shaded most of the time.

We were on the Escape 3 weeks ago. The roof was closed a lot while we were underway. While it was mostly sunny, it was windy with maybe one brief shower per day. If you want sun, the private sun deck is just out the door. Many liked sitting in the air conditioned sunshine. :) especially up on deck 19.

 

The dinner menu in the Havens restaurant was great. It's the new menu that will eventually be deployed fleet wide. We actually forefitted some of our free specialty dining to eat in the Havens.
