Nassau Temps early December

We will be in port the first week of December. Is the water rather chilly that time of year? We've booked a snorkel excursion, but now I'm beginning to reconsider; I prefer warmer water for snorkelling. Anyone been there that time of year? Thanks.

We were in Nassau the second week of December last year and it was sunny and high 80's. Gorgeous day. I wasn't in the water so I don't know about the water temp.
