Horseshoe Bay - how early?

We would like to spend the day at Horseshoe Bay beach. There will be two cruise ships in port - Celebrity Summit and Norwegian Breakaway.

 

How early would you suggest getting there to get a beach chair and umbrella? Is 10 am too late?

10 am is not too late. You don't start seeing a lot of people until after 11:00.
