Jacqueline Posted June 25, 2016 #1 Share Posted June 25, 2016 This isn't something I can research not an actual place! I am sure that it's unpredictable and can run the gamut, but it would be helpful to have some suggestions on what to bring along for day time wear. Are there pleasant places to sit outdoors that are relatively sheltered? Appreciate any advice.

Here are links to some photos to show that you are correct; the weather is unpredictable, however that there are several places to sit outdoors and read... watch the waves... lay in the sun... rest one's eyes (this latter seems to an esp favourite!). Note how many people make the most of the sunshine (and maybe what they are wearing day-time?). These photos were all taken mid-Atlantic on board QM2, in either May or September (not mid-summer, sorry). Hope they help. https://www.flickr.com/photos/pepperrn/14247482942/in/album-72157644739877031/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/pepperrn/14063160077/in/album-72157644739877031/ :) Have a great time on board. Jacqueline Posted June 26, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted June 26, 2016 Thank you so much! These are wonderful pictures. I appreciate the time it took for you to post them. Maybe I will bring a throw for days that are chilly. Nothing like enjoying the sea! And I love the big aft pool. Lovely! Thanks again!
steeler33 Posted June 26, 2016 #4 Share Posted June 26, 2016 Those photos above sum up the weather we had on a roundtrip last August. Some hot days (though as always, windy), some cool days, wet days, dense fog. It really is as unpredictable as people say.
colonialinnkeeper Posted June 26, 2016 #5 Share Posted June 26, 2016 On our three crossings (May, October and November) I guess we have been lucky as most days were warm enough to enjoy sitting on our balcony reading and also around the aft pool. But, we've learned to be prepared for almost anything.

BigMac1953 Posted June 26, 2016 #7 Share Posted June 26, 2016 Having crossed the Pond about 8 times, I can agree just how unpredictable it can be. For example, one of the smoothest crossings we had was in November. However, unless you are determined to spend all you time outdoors, the weather does not affect the ship, as it plows on regardless. The stern is always the most sheltered place to sit, and deck 8 is best as you also have the bar. Enjoy exploring! Stewart
