Yes, I believe tape would work but the magnet made it simple to slide open the partition leaving the whole room open during the day.. and easy access for the cabin attendant. I asked before but... would fb links work ok or is that a no no?

If you are talking tape to tape two tablecloths together, then no problem. If you are saying to tape something to the ceiling instead of using magnets, not a good idea, the tape can pull paint off the ceiling and then you have to pay a fee for damaging the ceiling.

 

From all the posts on the family forum about doing this, cheap, dark shower curtains and magnet hooks are the way to go. Can easily be done for less than $10.
